Not a bankAkidni organizes information; it is not a financial institution or identity issuer.

01 Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Akidni (“Akidni,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your access to the Akidni website, mobile applications, and related account, storage, synchronization, sharing, support, and other services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, or clicking to accept these Terms, you confirm that you have read and agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Additional terms may apply to a particular feature, promotion, plan, or platform; if they conflict with these Terms, the additional terms control for that feature.

02 The Akidni service

Akidni is designed to help you securely organize and access digital items such as payment-card references, membership cards, tickets, invitations, QR codes, credentials, and private notes. Features may include encrypted storage, device synchronization, scanning, search, import, export, backup, recovery, and controlled sharing.

Important distinctionAkidni is not a bank, payment network, card issuer, money transmitter, identity authority, ticket issuer, password-recovery authority, or government agency. Saving an item in Akidni does not verify its authenticity, ownership, validity, balance, legal status, or acceptance by a third party.

Availability may vary by device, operating system, country, plan, or app-store rules. Some announced features may be released later, modified during development, or unavailable in certain locations.

03 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. If the law where you live requires a higher age to enter a binding agreement, you must meet that age or use the Services only with valid permission from a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the Services if applicable law prohibits you from receiving them.

If you use Akidni for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. “You” then includes both you and the organization.

04 Your account and security

You agree to provide accurate account information, keep it current, and use your account only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and devices, except to the extent caused by Akidni’s failure to use legally required care.

You must:

  • Use a strong, unique password and protect authentication and recovery information.
  • Secure devices that can access your wallet and enable available lock or biometric features.
  • Promptly remove devices you no longer control and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
  • Keep recovery codes or keys in a safe place separate from your device.

Depending on the encryption and recovery method you choose, Akidni may be unable to restore encrypted content if you lose your credentials, recovery key, or all authorized devices. We will explain material recovery limitations when the relevant feature is offered.

05 Your content

“Your Content” means information and materials you upload, scan, create, save, import, or share through the Services. As between you and Akidni, you retain your rights in Your Content. You grant Akidni a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, process, copy, and display Your Content only as technically necessary to operate, secure, support, and provide the Services you request.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to use Your Content with Akidni and that doing so does not violate law, contract, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, confidentiality duties, or another person’s rights. Do not save information belonging to another person without a lawful basis and appropriate permission.

You are responsible for maintaining any independent backup you consider necessary. Export functionality may depend on your plan, device, content type, and technical availability.

06 Payment cards and sensitive authentication data

Akidni may allow you to organize card references or images. Unless a separate payment feature expressly says otherwise, Akidni does not process purchases, validate cards, hold funds, or replace a physical or tokenized payment card.

Never store prohibited authentication dataYou must not save a payment-card PIN, PIN block, CVV, CVC, CID, full magnetic-stripe or chip-equivalent track data, or another authentication value that applicable card-industry rules prohibit storing. This applies even if the information would be encrypted.

You are responsible for following issuer agreements and applicable payment-card requirements. We may block, redact, or remove prohibited data when technically possible and may restrict card-related features to protect users, partners, and the Services.

07 Sharing and collaboration features

If you share an item or link, you direct us to make the selected information available to the recipient under the settings you choose. Review the item, recipient, permissions, and expiration before sharing. Anyone with access may view, copy, photograph, forward, or otherwise retain the content, and technical restrictions cannot prevent every form of capture.

Do not use sharing features for passwords, payment authentication data, government identifiers, health information, or other highly sensitive content unless the feature is expressly designed for that purpose and you understand the risks. You are responsible for revoking access when it is no longer appropriate.

08 Acceptable use

You may not use the Services to:

  • Break the law, facilitate fraud, evade sanctions, impersonate anyone, or misrepresent an item’s authenticity or ownership.
  • Create, store, distribute, or present forged tickets, credentials, identity documents, payment instruments, access codes, or invitations.
  • Store or distribute malware, unlawful content, stolen data, or material that infringes another person’s rights.
  • Probe, scan, attack, disable, overload, disrupt, or bypass security or access controls.
  • Access another user’s account or content without authorization, or harvest information from the Services.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services except where law expressly permits it.
  • Use automated systems to scrape or access the Services beyond documented interfaces and reasonable limits.
  • Use Akidni in a way that creates material risk, liability, or harm to users, Akidni, or third parties.

We may investigate suspected misuse and cooperate with lawful requests, while respecting applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.

09 Device permissions and biometrics

Features such as scanning, importing, notifications, or biometric unlocking may require camera, photo-library, notification, or device-authentication permissions. You can manage permissions through your device settings, although disabling one may limit related features.

When biometric unlocking is available, your operating system generally performs the biometric comparison. Akidni is intended to receive only a success or failure result, not your fingerprint or face template. Your use is also subject to your device manufacturer’s and operating-system provider’s terms.

10 Free features, paid plans, and renewals

Akidni may offer free features, trials, subscriptions, or one-time purchases. Prices, included features, billing periods, taxes, and renewal terms will be shown before you buy. If you purchase through an app store, that store processes payment and its billing, cancellation, and refund terms apply.

Unless stated otherwise and subject to applicable law, subscriptions automatically renew for the same period until canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel through the platform where you subscribed. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not ordinarily provide a refund for an already-started period, except where law or the applicable store policy requires one.

We may change future pricing or plan features with advance notice required by law. Failure to pay may result in plan downgrade or restricted access, but we will provide reasonable information about access to or export of stored content where required.

11 Akidni’s intellectual property

The Services—including software, visual design, branding, logos, text, graphics, interfaces, and underlying technology—are owned by or licensed to Akidni and protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, Akidni grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app for its intended purpose.

If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, but we do not acquire ownership of Your Content. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use Akidni names, trademarks, or logos except as necessary to identify the Services.

12 Third-party services and items

The Services may link to or interoperate with app stores, authentication providers, issuers, event platforms, websites, or other third parties. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, or decisions. Your use of them is governed by their terms.

Akidni does not guarantee that a merchant, venue, airline, government authority, website, or other recipient will accept a stored or displayed item. Always carry any original document or approved backup required by the issuer or applicable law.

13 Changes, updates, and availability

We continually develop Akidni and may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. We will provide reasonable advance notice when a material change negatively affects a paid feature or your ability to access content, unless an urgent security, legal, or operational issue makes advance notice impractical.

You may need to install updates to continue using the Services securely. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every device, or permanent availability of any particular feature.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will apply prospectively after reasonable notice where required. If you continue using the Services after revised Terms take effect, you accept them; if you disagree, you must stop using the Services and may close your account.

14 Suspension, termination, and account closure

You may stop using Akidni and request account closure at any time through available account controls or by contacting us. Export any information you want to retain before closing your account.

We may restrict or suspend access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, failed to pay applicable fees, or used the Services in a way that could harm users or infrastructure. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. We may terminate access for serious or repeated violations.

After termination, your license ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and general provisions—remain effective. Deletion and retention are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

15 Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Akidni disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will always be secure, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every item, issuer, venue, or device.

Akidni does not provide financial, banking, legal, identity-verification, cybersecurity, or professional advice. You remain responsible for verifying important information and maintaining originals or backups required for travel, entry, identity, payment, account recovery, or legal compliance.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be waived.

16 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Akidni and its affiliates, officers, employees, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or use, arising from or related to the Services, even if advised that such harm was possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Akidni’s total liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid Akidni for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD 100.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, which may include fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or violation of mandatory consumer rights.

17 Resolving disputes and applicable law

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact [email protected] with a description of the issue and requested resolution. We will try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.

Any dispute will be governed by the law identified in the additional terms or business details presented when you register or purchase a plan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If no law is identified, the law and courts with mandatory jurisdiction will apply. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer laws or your ability to bring a claim in a court authorized by those laws.

Jurisdiction-specific termsAkidni will publish the registered operating entity, governing law, and competent courts before paid accounts become available. Those details should be reviewed by qualified local counsel.
